Battlefield 3 is out - sorta!

battlefield 3 image

Battlefield 3 is out - Reloaded has released a whopping 13GB release which allows for singleplayer action.  This is great as it gives us "tech-savvy" folks a chance to rock the solo player game before we decide if its kick ass enough to spend some premium hard-earned cash on. The Limited Edition is a must-have for all die hard battlefield fans as it includes the Back to Karkland Expansion Pack.

Here's install notes from Reloaded's NFO...

  1. Unrar.
  2. Burn or mount the image.
  3. Install the game. Redistributables as needed in \__Installer
     dir afterwards.
  4. Copy over the cracked content from the Crack dir on DVD2 to your
     installation dir.
  5. Play the game.

As usual we recommend firewalling the main executable, not using Origin, and
  avoiding EA.

and Here's the NFO-Fix just in case anyone is having issues starting the game...

There is a gamebug that may cause the game to crash if it is installed in
a directory that contains special characters, such as (TM).
If you notice any problems, rename your installation directory to anything
that does not contain such characters and all your problems will be gone.

  1. In case of issues rename your installation directory.
  2. Play the game.

Have fun...
